Peer Health Education

Peer Education provides a way for students to talk to other students about lifestyle choices.  The goal is harm reduction.  In other words, allowing students to make personal decisions, while encouraging and helping them to make those decisions in safer and healthier ways.

Peer Educators must follow and participate in the guidelines below:

  • Promote safer choices related to mental health, alcohol use, other drug use, sexual health, nutrition, body image and more.
  • Promote a non-judgmental environment.
  • Pursue continuing education on a variety of health topics.
  • Model the safer choices they discuss with other students.
