Jasmine Allen

Graduate Assistant



Jasmine will be pursuing a Masters degree in Social Work at UNC Charlotte. She is originally from Ohio where she earned a bachelors degree in Family Development at the University of Akron. She has an interest in Alcohol and Substance abuse as well as the need for social workers within the school system. She will be serving as the ATOD (Alcohol Tobacco and other Drugs) Graduate Assistant at the Center for Wellness Promotion. 


Megan Bengur

Graduate Assistant



 

Megan is currently pursuing her master’s degree in social work at UNC Charlotte and holds a bachelor’s degree in drama from the University of Virginia. She has a particular passion for mental health and substance abuse prevention and treatment and serves as the BASICS Graduate Assistant with the Center for Wellness Promotion. In her free time, Megan enjoys traveling, reading, practicing yoga and watching movies.


Haley Britton

Graduate Student Intern



Haley is pursuing her masters in social work here at UNCC. She recently graduated from Appalachian State University with her BSW and is working her way to LCSW. She will be interning in the Interpersonal Violence program until she graduates in May 2017. Haley's favorite things are her cat, Kevin, dreaming of the day she can get a dog, watching reruns of Arrested Development and The Office, and eating Chick Fil A ice cream. 


Tiara Culp

Graduate Assistant



Tiara is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and a first year graduate student in the Master of Health Administration program at UNC Charlotte. She received her undergraduate degree in May of 2015 in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health from UNC Greensboro. During Tiara’s undergraduate career she interned at the Wellness Center at UNC Greensboro focusing on substance abuse prevention. She also worked as an undergraduate assistant for the Spartan Recovery Program focusing on collegiate recovery. Her interests outside of school include shopping, networking, and volunteering with non-profit organizations. Tiara has a strong passion for the health field and will serve as the graduate assistant for UNC Charlotte’s Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC).


Deanna La

Graduate Assistant



Deanna is from Wilmington, NC and received dual degrees in Women's and Gender Studies and Sociology from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. Now at UNC Charlotte, Deanna is pursuing a Masters in Social Work. Working as an Interpersonal Violence Prevention Graduate Assistant in the Center for Wellness Promotion, she has a particular interest in helping those affected by domestic violence and/or sexual assault. 


Salem Rogers

Graduate Assistant



Salem is pursuing a master's degree in Economics and serves as the financial wellness graduate assistant . She received her BA in Mathematics from the UNC Chapel Hill before teaching high school math for four years. Her areas of research interest are ever evolving and currently centered around econometrics and health economics. She has a penchant for hot tea and hopes to one day learn how to poach an egg.


William Sauer

Graduate Assistant



William (or Willy) is from Hickory, NC and is pursuing his MA in Counseling at UNC Charlotte.  He received his BA in Psychology from Wake Forest University in May 2016. He has a passion for impacting people in a positive way, for listening, and for improving mental health care.  In his free time, he loves to play music, throw a Frisbee, and go hiking.


Jordan Mitchell

Intern



 

Jordan was born and raised in Durham, NC. She is a senior at East Carolina University, pursuing a degree in Public Health with a concentration in Community Health. Jordan enjoys listening to music, volunteering, shopping, and spending time with her family. She wants to pursue a career in Midwifery after completion of her Public Health degree.


Jack Noyes

Intern



 

Jack is from Wilkesboro, NC. He enjoys fishing and playing golf in his free time. He is pursuing a BS in Psychology and Sociology.  He is undecided on if he wants to go to grad school or enter the work force. Jack is working as an Undergraduate Intern for the CWP.


Hamza Abushawriyeh

Social Media and Design Assistant



                                                                                                                                                                             Hamza is currently an undergrad student at UNCC, majoring in architecture and minoring in communications. Hamza is working as a graphic designer and social media marketer for the Center of Wellness Promotion. He enjoys all forms of art, traveling, learning about different cultures, writing, and petting cats.


Andrew Long

Undergraduate Assistant



 

Andrew is an undergrad student with the Belk College of Business here on campus. He is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in both Accounting and Managerial Information Systems. Andrew is working as an Undergraduate Assistant for the Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC). He is an advocate for Recovery in the community of Charlotte and particularly passionate about recovery as it relates to the college experience. He has a love for basketball, film, listening to people’s experience and learning.


Darnisha Pulley

Undergraduate Assistant



Darnisha is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Public Health at UNC Charlotte. She has a particular passion for community and sexual health, and substance abuse prevention and treatment. Darnisha is working as an undergraduate assistant in the Center for Wellness Promotion. Her interest outside of school are networking, traveling, and spending time with family.


Stefanee Tillman

Undergraduate Assistant



 

Stefanee is an undergraduate student at UNC Charlotte. She is study Psychology as her major and Spanish as her minor. She serves as a peer educator, undergraduate assistant, mentor and tour guide for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. As an aspiring Clinical Psychologist, it is in her best interest to help the community and spread health awareness to creating a more successful environment on campus.
