WP- Mindfulness 101

Mindfulness has proven to be an effective strategy in dealing with stress and anxiety. Through guided meditations and movement, students will: Learn the fundamentals of mindfulness Learn of its benefits to their emotional and physical health  The dimensions of wellness this program covers:   Physical – focuses on the state of your body   Emotional – Awareness and acceptance of feelings   Spiritual – Establishing a sense of self beyond physical being Christine Staco will be the facilitator and you can contact her with any questions, comments or concerns.

WP- National Public Health Week Health Fair

Come out to the Health Fair anytime between 12 and 4. There will be a wide variety of tables tables including LGBTQIAA Health, Nutrition, Posture and Balance Screenings, Tobacco Prevention/Cessation, Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Awareness. FREE Samples from Smoothie King, Healthy Snack options will be available. If you dont come for the tables or the FREE samples then come out for the Yoga & Meditation Session and Photo Booth!!!!

(WP) Destress Fest - Massage Lounge

The Center For Wellness Promotion brings "De-stress Massage Lounge" to campus! It will be held April 22, 2015 in the Student Union Room 340 E & F from 2:30-4:30 p.m.  The Destress Fest is three day event being put on by the Center For Wellness Promotion to increase students' knowledge about stress and how it effects the body and mind. Receive free massages while learning about stress management through an interactive game.

(WP) Destress Fest - Outdoor Yoga

The Center For Wellness Promotion brings "OUTDOOR YOGA" back to campus! It will be held April 21, 2015 in the Grassy Area between CHHS & Co-Ed Plaza from 2:00-3:00p.m.  The Rain location is: Student Union Room 261. The Destress Fest is three day event being put on by the Center For Wellness Promotion to increase students' knowledge about stress and how it effects the body and mind. Come and learn a effective relaxation technique to decrease your stress levels during final exam week!
